MiVolunteer collects and handles personal information responsibly and respects the privacy of individuals. We are committed to transparency and ensuring that personal information is used appropriately and securely.

Acceptance

By accessing, browsing, or using MiVolunteer’s services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). MiVolunteer reserves the right to modify, update, or change these Terms without prior notice. By continuing to use MiVolunteer’s services, you acknowledge and agree to the revised Terms.

Disclaimer

Your use of MiVolunteer’s services is at your own risk. MiVolunteer provides its services on an “as is” basis without any warranties or conditions, expressed or implied. MiVolunteer does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information provided through its services. MiVolunteer disclaims any liability for any damages or losses resulting from the use of its services.

Limitation of Liability

MiVolunteer, its management, and team members shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue or profits, arising from your use of MiVolunteer’s services. You agree to indemnify and hold MiVolunteer harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of its services.

Policy on Not Attending Shift(s)

Volunteers are not required to attend their service shift if they or a family member/friend are sick, or if they have other valid reasons such as school commitments or inclement weather. Failure to comply with this policy may result in consequences. Volunteers are required to provide advance notice if they cannot attend their shift.

Incident and Accident Policy

All employees, volunteers, and team members are responsible for reporting occupational accidents, illnesses, incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions. All incidents must be reported to the supervisor immediately. The policy outlines the classification of incidents, accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions, and the procedures for reporting them.

No Discrimination Policy

MiVolunteer prohibits discrimination or harassment based on various grounds, including age, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, race, and others. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying is strictly prohibited.

Waiver of Liability

By participating in MiVolunteer’s events or campaigns, clients agree to assume any associated risks and release MiVolunteer from all claims of loss or damage. Clients also agree to indemnify and hold MiVolunteer harmless from any allegations of loss, damage, or injury.

Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

Assumption of Risk

Clients acknowledge and accept the risks associated with participating in MiVolunteer’s events or campaigns. Clients warrant that they are physically fit to participate without undue risk and agree to hold MiVolunteer harmless from any claims arising from their participation.

Total Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold MiVolunteer harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their participation in MiVolunteer’s events or campaigns. Clients also agree to bear the costs of any damages caused by them to MiVolunteer’s properties.

Personal Well-Being

Clients warrant that they are in good physical health and able to participate in MiVolunteer’s events or campaigns. Clients are responsible for ensuring their own safety and well-being during participation.

COVID-19 Pandemic

Clients confirm that they have not traveled internationally within the past 14 days and have not experienced any COVID-19 symptoms in the past four weeks. Clients also agree to comply with any additional safety measures implemented by MiVolunteer to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during events or campaigns.

Right to Cancel

MiVolunteer reserves the right to deny a client’s participation in events or campaigns if it deems that the client would be at risk of loss, damage, or injury.

Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
