Not just a charity - a volunteer agency.

The best way to volunteer in the GTHA.

MiVolunteer is a volunteer agency: we find and post real volunteer opportunities, match people to them, and help organizations run great events.

We run events with you
Organizations get vetted volunteers, check-in desks, and coordination so the day runs smoothly.

The MiVolunteer sign

An M and a V - and a hand reaching out.

Two hands, an M and a V, reaching toward each other - that is MiVolunteer. It is what we do: connect people who want to help with the neighbours and organizations who need it, across the GTHA.

Our three pillars

Everything MiVolunteer does is built on three ideas.

Community
Bringing people together to lift up their neighbourhoods across the GTHA.
Charity
Supporting people and causes that need a hand, from food security to relief.
Volunteerism
Giving your time and skills to make a real, measurable difference.

Common questions

Where can I volunteer in the GTHA?

MiVolunteer posts real volunteer opportunities across the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area (GTHA) - Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Hamilton, Oakville, Burlington and beyond - and we are growing. Browse open opportunities and sign up online in minutes.

How do I get volunteer hours?

Create a free account, complete your shifts, and MiVolunteer emails you an official Certificate of Hours for the time you gave. These hours count toward Ontario's 40-hour community involvement requirement for high school students.

How do organizations request volunteers?

Submit our request form with at least 35 days notice. We review and approve your request, post it, match volunteers, and hand you a confirmed roster - and we can set up check-in for your event.

Is MiVolunteer free?

Yes. It is free to create an account, browse opportunities, volunteer, and receive your Certificate of Hours.

Running an event? We will bring the volunteers.

MiVolunteer finds and vets volunteers for your organization, sets up check-in desks, and helps coordinate your event. Request volunteers with at least 35 days notice.
