We started in 2018 as WonderGivers - a small group of people who believed that showing up for your community should be simple. What began as a handful of neighbours organizing to help each other quickly grew into something bigger: recurring meal drives, seasonal cleanups, and hands-on support for families who needed it most.
As the effort grew across the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area, we became MiVolunteer, operating as the Mississauga Volunteers' Association. The name changed, but the model sharpened: we are a volunteer agency. We find and vet real opportunities, match willing people to them, issue a Certificate of Hours for the time they give, and help organizations run great events.
MiVolunteer serves the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area (GTHA) today and is expanding - a growing organization, not tied to any single city. Today MiVolunteer connects people who want to help with the opportunities where that help matters, from Mississauga and Toronto to Brampton, Hamilton, Oakville and beyond.
MiVolunteer is the operating name of the Mississauga Volunteers' Association, incorporated in Ontario as Mississauga and GTA Relief Initiative Inc.
