Is MiVolunteer free?
Yes. Creating an account, finding opportunities, joining workshops, and getting your Certificate of Hours are all free.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone 14 or older can create a free MiVolunteer account and sign up for opportunities across the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area and beyond.
How are my hours tracked?
You check in at your opportunity and your hours are recorded automatically, then issued as a Certificate of Hours you can use for school, awards, or work.
I run an organization - can MiVolunteer help?
Yes. Submit a request and we can recruit and bring volunteers to your event, and even run on-site check-in and hours tracking for you, at no cost.
What are Training Seminars?
Short onboarding sessions run by our recruitment and training staff covering your rights, safety, and how to use your portal. Complete one to be marked Trained by MiVolunteer.
