NETW-2: Collaborating & Designing Modern Projects - Onboarding & Pipeline Engineering

A hands-on continuation of NETW-1 where participants work together in small groups to brainstorm and design community initiatives.

NETW-2 serves as the direct operational continuation of NETW-1, moving from macro-level discussion into hands-on workflow engineering and project architecture. One of the single greatest challenges facing community initiatives today is the steep drop-off rate between initial volunteer interest and actual long-term participation. NETW-2 focuses specifically on eliminating this friction by deconstructing and rebuilding how community initiatives, onboarding sequences, and engagement pipelines are structured. During this 75-minute practical lab, attendees will work in small collaborative groups to dissect real-world community project case studies. Participants will learn how to audit onboarding workflows to identify unnecessary administrative bottlenecks, convert rigid and overly demanding volunteer positions into agile micro-volunteering modules, and implement feedback systems that maintain momentum. The session breaks down step-by-step methods for creating transparent task distribution models, establishing clear communication protocols using modern digital tools, and ensuring every volunteer feels immediate ownership over their contributions.
