MiVolunteer is seeking a committed individual to serve as our Director of Charity Programs. MiVolunteer is both a charitable organization and a volunteer agency. While our Volunteer Agency Sector helps connect volunteers with external organizations and opportunities, our Charity Sector focuses on initiatives and programs operated directly by MiVolunteer to serve communities. The Director of Charity Programs will lead this area of MiVolunteer and help turn ideas into meaningful, organized, and sustainable charitable initiatives. You will work with the Executive Director & General Manager and other members of the leadership team to identify community needs, develop programs, coordinate teams, and evaluate the impact of MiVolunteer’s charitable work. Responsibilities include: * Lead MiVolunteer’s Charity Programs department * Help develop new charitable programs and initiatives * Identify community needs that MiVolunteer can address * Develop program plans, objectives, and timelines * Coordinate Program Managers and Program Coordinators * Support recruitment of volunteers for MiVolunteer’s own programs * Coordinate program logistics and implementation * Develop relationships with community organizations where appropriate * Monitor participation and program outcomes * Gather feedback from participants and volunteers * Identify opportunities to improve existing programs * Help document MiVolunteer’s community impact * Provide regular updates to executive leadership * Ensure programs reflect MiVolunteer’s values of inclusion, community service, respect, and accessibility Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who cares about community development and wants to help create programs that have a meaningful impact. Experience in nonprofit organizations, community programs, youth programs, education, social services, event planning, or project management is an asset. This is an unpaid volunteer leadership position and requires someone who is prepared to take ownership of projects over an extended period.
