MiVolunteer is looking for a motivated individual to serve as our Director of Partnerships. The Director of Partnerships will lead the development of relationships between MiVolunteer and organizations that may benefit from volunteer support. This position plays an important role in expanding MiVolunteer’s network and creating meaningful opportunities for community members to contribute. You will help identify organizations and initiatives that require volunteers, introduce them to MiVolunteer, support the partnership process, and maintain relationships after an organization begins working with us. The Director will work closely with the Director of Volunteer Services to ensure that organizational needs can be communicated effectively to MiVolunteer’s volunteer operations teams. Responsibilities include: * Lead MiVolunteer’s partnership-development strategy * Identify potential nonprofit, community, charitable, municipal, educational, cultural, and event partners * Conduct outreach through email, phone, meetings, and other communication channels * Build and maintain professional relationships with partner organizations * Support the onboarding of new organizations * Maintain accurate partnership records * Follow up with prospective and existing partners * Understand the volunteer needs of partner organizations * Communicate partner needs to Volunteer Services * Support the development of long-term partnerships * Identify opportunities for MiVolunteer to expand into new communities * Supervise Partnership Managers and Partnership Coordinators as the department grows Ideal Candidate: This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, communicating with organizations, researching potential partners, and building long-term relationships. Experience in sales, business development, nonprofit partnerships, community engagement, outreach, or communications is an asset. This is an unpaid volunteer leadership position requiring consistent participation and follow-through.
