MiVolunteer is organizing a community park cleanup at Erindale Park to bring volunteers together to care for and improve one of our community’s shared outdoor spaces. Parks are used by residents of all ages for recreation, exercise, community activities, and spending time outdoors, and keeping these spaces clean and well-maintained helps ensure that everyone can continue to enjoy them. Volunteers will participate in a variety of general cleanup activities throughout the park. This may include collecting litter from grass and landscaped areas, picking up garbage around pathways and public spaces, gathering recyclable materials where applicable, tidying areas that have accumulated debris, and helping improve the overall appearance of the park. Volunteers may also assist with organizing collected waste and keeping cleanup areas orderly throughout the activity. The cleanup is designed to be a collaborative community service experience. Volunteers will work alongside other participants and MiVolunteer team members, helping one another throughout the cleanup and contributing to a shared goal. You do not need previous volunteer or cleanup experience to participate. Instructions and guidance will be provided so that volunteers understand what they are expected to do and can participate effectively.
