Lead MiVolunteer’s volunteer operations within an assigned municipality and build a strong local volunteer team.

MiVolunteer is seeking Municipal Managers to help establish and operate MiVolunteer’s volunteer network within individual municipalities. A Municipal Manager serves as MiVolunteer’s local operational leader. You will coordinate Volunteer Coordinators, support local volunteer recruitment, help identify community opportunities, and ensure volunteers are properly supported. Municipal Managers are not expected to personally handle every volunteer opportunity. Instead, your role is to build and manage a capable local team. Responsibilities include: * Oversee MiVolunteer operations within your assigned municipality * Recruit and support Volunteer Coordinators * Supervise local volunteer coordination * Support recruitment of volunteers * Help identify local volunteer opportunities and community events * Build relationships with local organizations and community groups * Support volunteers and coordinators during major activities * Monitor local volunteer participation * Communicate local needs and challenges to the Regional Manager * Participate in MiVolunteer leadership meetings * Help expand MiVolunteer’s presence within the municipality * Promote an inclusive and welcoming volunteer environment Ideal Candidate: This position is ideal for someone who knows or cares about their local community and wants to take an active role in developing volunteerism within it. You do not need previous management experience. We value reliability, initiative, communication, and the willingness to learn.
