We recognize that the communities in which we operate are diverse and that our work takes place across the traditional territories of many Indigenous peoples. We acknowledge the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples who have cared for these lands since time immemorial and recognize the ongoing relationships Indigenous peoples have with these territories. MiVolunteer welcomes applicants from Indigenous communities, racialized communities, newcomers, persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and people of all backgrounds and lived experiences. We believe that a strong organization is built by bringing together people with different perspectives, experiences, and ideas. Our volunteer leadership positions are unpaid. We are looking for people who are genuinely interested in contributing to their communities, developing their skills, taking responsibility, and helping build MiVolunteer for the long term. We also recognize that volunteering should be accessible. We encourage applicants to communicate any accessibility needs during the application process so that we can work to provide an inclusive experience.
